NAT SOUND – KIDS LAUGHING, YELLING CHIEF AND FIRST CLASS PETTY OFFICERS WITH
THE USS NIMITZ CPO 365 PROGRAM RECENTLY VOLUNTEERED AT A LOCAL CHILDHOOD DEVELOPMENT CENTER FOR
BURMESE IMMIGRANTS IN PHUKET, THAILAND. THE SAILORS HELPED RESTORE THE GROUNDS AND ASSEMBLED
A TRAMPOLINE PROVIDED BY THE LOCAL ROTARY CLUB. “THE KIDS DON’T EVEN, THEY’VE NEVER SEEN A
TRAMPOLINE BEFORE SO THE WHOLE SCHOOL’S GOING TO ERUPT. OF COURSE THESE KIDS NEVER COULD
AFFORD SOMETHING LIKE THAT AND WE’LL MAKE THEIR SCHOOL A LOT MORE ENJOYABLE AND OF COURSE
THEN THEY’LL LEARN A LOT BETTER TOO.” THE ONGOING SERVICE PROVIDED BY THE U.S. NAVY
WILL ENSURE THE CHILDREN HAVE A BETTER CHANCE OF INTEGRATING INTO THE LOCAL SCHOOLS IN THE
FUTURE. REPORTING FOR USS NIMITZ, I’M PETTY OFFICER RYAN MAYES. NAT SOUND – “THANK YOU, THANK YOU!”
