good day everyone and happy Catholic
schools week where the theme is learn serve lead and succeed I’m Carson
reporting with pcs news I’m going to inform you on what activities we are
going to engage in to kick off Catholic schools week on Sunday students staff
families friends and visitors will be attending Mass at resurrection of our
Lord Church at 8:30 a.m. we’re all on cursed to wear tacks or slacks but no
sax and their famous red polo shirts we will be gathering downstairs and Holy
Name Hall for food and fellowship sounds like a great time to me let’s kick off
Catholic schools week in a wonderful way by starting with mass now I’m going to
turn over to Josiah what Sunday’s weather outlook take it away Josiah
Thank You Carson hello everyone and happy Catholic schools week I am just
like with Sunday’s weather outlook Wow I guess you can really call it Sun Day
the Sun is going to be out strong all day and baking down on us the high is
expected to be approximately a hundred and twenty one degrees and the low it’s
expected to be around 110 degrees oh I’m sweating just thinking about it so pack
your water and stay hydrated folks I’m glad I have my high-quality h2o this is

the theme is Jesus dances in our hearts or to make things short just a second disco day students are encouraged to
bring shades like I have here big shoes and the widest bell-bottoms your
trousers can handle we are also having a retreat that focuses on Saint Francis’s
5-finger prayer Jesus I trust in you we will also focus on the four pillars of
Catholic schools week learn lead serve succeed teachers will collaborate to
create inspiring activities for the retreat now I will hand it over to

weather you all need to know the weather report the high looks to be around 98
degrees and the low looks to be 90 I’m going to tell you that I might have a
pool in my pit because it will be so hot outside I could melt like an ice cube

hello everyone and happy Catholic schools week I’m Natalie and I am Chase with a special sports report last night on the gridiron the Polkahontas Saints got the best of read view Red Devils by score of 204 to 2 what a score
that is Devils were giving a charity safety by the Saints what a generous act
by the Saints and now off to baseball there’s constant wise men playing host
the Boston Blue Devils last evening the wise men were hitting home runs every time
they’re up to back at the bottom of the ninth inning there are only 300 to 0
way to go Wiseman the poor blue devils struck out every time at bat so sorry for
that Blue Devils that is all for sports today now let’s turn it over to Elijah

week I’m Elijah with a special report sure why with Catholic school principal Father Craig Collison of course Hi Elijah how are you today it’s
great to be here I have a few questions okay do you like your job as a priest? love my
job as a priest Elijah it was when I was a little boy I started thinking about it
a little bit then there were lots of people who who encouraged me my
classmates and my teachers and other priests and things and and so finally I
just said well let’s give it a try and it’s so much fun because you can do so
many things with so many people question number two what everyone on board
deserved row being a Catholic priest at PCS? I found here in pcs so many
welcoming people people that were happy to see me and that made me feel really
good but so many kids so many students that really are
looking to do the very best they can and get to know Jesus very well and parents
and and staff members and all the teachers everything’s really a lot of
fun and good here at PCS. you’ll heard it folks from Fr Coulson I am Elijah

live Saints report the saint I’m gonna tell you about today is St. Francis of
Assisi Francis was born in Assisi Italy in the year 1181 at a certain time in
Saint Francis’s life he worked at his father’s shop his father worked as a
rich merchant Francis took the Gospels as his lifes role. he dressed in red
clothes begged for food and peach purity and peace he also visited
hospitals served the sick and preached in the streets. Francis died on October 4th
1226 in Italy Francis died of natural causes
Francis was canonized July 16th 1228 by Pope Gregory the ninth there

Tuesday looks to be a snowy one it could be so snowy that we could end up with
approximately 21 feet of total snowfall boy

Elena and we have some pcs sports to talk about now you may have heard of the
epic win last night on the hard won the Kentucky kindness defeated the Richmond
Ernest by the unprecedented score of 1 million to 10 you heard that right folks
uh Kentucky kindness had points of all kind leading just 20 to 5 at halftime
the kindness got serious and opened up a big old can of kindness way to go
kindness keep up the great work we will take plenty of kindness back to wrap for

hello everyone happy Catholic schools week I’m Michaela at pcs with a live
special report I’m here with mr. e principal at Pocahontas Catholic school I
have a few questions for you mr. e awesome let’s hear on makayley number 1 what how do you feel to be a principal and teacher at pcs how does it feel to
be a principal and teacher pcs well first of all as Tony the Tiger says it
feels great I love the combination it’s somewhat of a hybrid position which I
get to do lots of things but ultimately I get to fall under the category of
educator and working with kids and that’s something I really enjoy doing so
I would say I love it wonderfully that sounds wonderful and like a lot of fun
number two why is it special to be a principal at pcs during Catholic schools
week why is it feel special be a principal at pcs during Catholic schools
like I think I would say first of all I just love being a principal at
PCS but I love it because we truly highlight what it’s what it is to be a
Catholic Christian and we do lots of extra events and stuff to just say hey
we are we’re pcs with a smaller school with eighty five kids and it’s a
Catholic school and we do lots of fun things we let Jesus and the Holy Spirit
into the building we talk about loving God loving our neighbor and practicing
the golden rule and that does that has actually established a culture that I
think is rock solid but ultimately fulfills the mission of Jesus Christ and
thank you for that wonderful response that is all for now friends now let’s

Wednesday’s look whether it looks like Oh rain a lot and when I say a lot I
mean a lot there’s a chance that would get approximately three feet of rain
there will be flash floods and maybe even regular floods and if you feel like
leaving without your umbrella I would definitely rethink that at this

on the hardwood the angels played the sassy serpents the angels dominated the
serpents with the final score of 82 to 0 way to go angels
I guess the Angels use their bright lights to light up the basketball nets
the serpents couldn’t do anything but so they’re aimlessly after the game way to
represent angels that is all for sports today at the heavenly Coliseum now let’s

live saints report i’m going to share some information with you about Saint Zoe did
you know that Saint Zoe married Nicostratus but he is also known as Hesperus Zoey and Nicko Stratus were both
Christians but were also slaves when they refused to eat who had offered to
the gods their master they were blessed with two sons shakarez and theodore the
whole family was tortured and roasted to death in a furnace on July 5th 286 AD
in Rome Italy st. Zoe’s feast day is on May 2nd now I’m

one what do you like about PCS well I love that I can send my kids there
knowing they’re learning about God and having fun while doing it
also I love hearing their stories after a day’s work question two
please talk to us about the success of your fall harvest. we had a dry summer this
year but with the help of prayer and hard work our harvest went well that was
really good news Pops. I think some of it has to do with the prayers that were
up to our God during and after harvest thanks be to God that was all for today

information on Thursday special events PCs is going to be doing something new
during Catholic schools week as there will be going to the zone to go bowling
kindergarten second grade and fourth grade will bowl at
10 and the first graders 3rd graders and 5th graders will Bowl at 1 p.m. this
event is made possible by financial support from our pcs room parents pcs
will also have their annual brown-bag lunch with families at lunch time hello
everybody during the brown bag lunch time all the
families will be viewing the PCs newscast which we are doing right this

I am Avery with some weather for Thursday the high will be 29 degrees and the low
will be 9 degrees but with the wind chill it could be as cold as negative two
degrees but don’t worry we all will have warm hearts for Jesus that’s all for the

Catholic schools week I’m Nate with some sports a lot has
happened this week in sports the Pocahontas Catholic Angels squaring off
against the Detroit Demons for intense contests at first but the Angels used
the giftedness to blame the demons by a score of 50 to 0 way to kick some soccer
goals angels now on the ice the Catholic saints took on the Dallas Devils and had
little trouble defeating them as the final score was Saints 90 and devils 0
that’s all for sports today now let’s turn it over to Brennan for a live
report Thank You Nate hello everyone and happy Catholic schools week I am ready
with the live special report I am here with sister Renee Hohensee. Sister Renee would
it be okay if I ask you a few questions sure question one what made you want to
become a religious sister Brennan I felt a deep call from God to serve him and
his people born so I joined the Catholic sisters of st. Francis in Dubuque and
became a sister thank you question two what do you think about Catholic schools
week Catholic schools week is a great opportunity for us to recognize
faith-based education I think it’s a wonderful way to do this thank you
question three what do you think about being a part of PCS being a member at
pcs being a staff member is just a wonderful stretching and challenging
part of my life I get to be involved with a great staff and with some
wonderful children and I feel very blessed

I am Josiah with the PCS Catholic schools week theme and activities for
Friday it will be tab PCs Pride Day where students and staff
or anything pcs we will also have the famous yummy sale where students staff
families and friends will be able to enjoy tasty treats
fun carnival games and a chance to win a variety of raffle prizes the proceeds
will be donated to a variety of charitable causes sounds like a lot of
fun to me and a worthwhile cause too. To conclude the week all will enjoy a movie
