Catholic Church Investigates Itself, Says Not at Fault for Pedophilia & Molestation

By | October 10, 2019

David: And the other thing also going on,
speaking of unwanted sexual advances, the Catholic Church, we’ve all been waiting for
the Catholic Church to investigate itself to figure out what is going on with all of
the pedophilia and child molestation. Well, fear not, the Catholic… Louis: Yeah, why don’t you just have a rapist
convict himself? David: That’s right. Louis: Yeah. David: Or acquit himself. So the Catholic
Church investigated itself, OK, and the study was commissioned by the U.S. Conference of
Catholic Bishops, and they’ve determined it actually wasn’t really their wrongdoing, all
of the pedophilia. So hey, that’s great. Great for them. They
released a study which says that the moral decline in U.S. society is actually really
the cause of the Catholic child pedophilia. “Most of the priests who had allegations of
abuse abused pubescent or post-pubescent minors,” said a spokesperson involved in the study,
while the victims of pedophiles are defined as being 10 years old or younger. Louis: Oh, so this is different. David: It’s different because if you’re 11
and you’re molested by a priest, that’s not pedophilia because technically, you’re not
10 or younger, which is what the study says. It also says that the… what are the other…
American society in general in the 60s and 70s influenced Catholic child pedophilia,
as well as… what else? I mean, it’s just unbelievable the stories that are being told
here as to what really are the causes. I thought, even if you believe that it was
a very free, open society in the 60s and 70s and priests were influenced by that, I thought
clergy were supposed to hold themselves to a higher moral standard than everybody else.
So just because you have this situation of drugs and free love in the 60s and 70s, shouldn’t
these Catholic priests and bishops be holding themselves to a higher standard? No mention of celibacy, which is a big factor,
no mention of the fact that for years, for 50, 60 years, this has been covered up. If
you’re the Catholic Church and you’re helping to cover up these instances, what on Earth
is going to influence the… Louis: Why… yeah. David: Why would anybody stop? Why would anybody
stop? Louis: So where does this leave us, just with
more terrible things to say about the Catholic Church? David: Well, the Church says it has a position
of zero tolerance towards child abuse. Louis: Oh, yeah. That’s a crock. David: What I’m thinking is maybe they’re
just bad at math, and they don’t understand what the term “zero” means. That’s the only
other thing I can think of. Louis: Yeah. Because all they did was move
these guys around. David: Moving around, yeah. And we… by the
way, we’re working on a big story related to this. I can’t even go further into it,
but we’re in touch with someone who is very, very close to… I don’t even want to go further.
Let’s just leave it there, I think, Louis. Louis: Yeah, good call. David: OK, on today’s bonus show, we’ll be
talking about the new Google driverless cars, would you want to be driven by one, would
you want to be on the road driving if they are on the road? We’ve also got a story about
the Fed giving some secretive loans, and a lot of other stuff. And remember, we’re giving
away another iPad. www.DavidPakman.com/membership, or sign up for our newsletter. People love
these things, Louis, so we’re giving one away. We’ll take a break, we’ll be back with more
after this on The David Pakman Show. Announcer: The David Pakman Show at www.DavidPakman.com. Transcript provided by Alex Wickersham and

Being raised Catholic, I can tell you a few things.

    1. In a Catholic family, having a son go into the priesthood is like a "get into heaven free" card for at least the parents if not everybody in your family. They can grant "special dispensation," which is like special permission to break church rules. So they're extremely valuable to have on your team because you get to be holier than thou while doing whatever you want.

The priests and male religious who were influenced by the freedom of the '60's left the priesthood or order to get married or otherwise express their sexuality.
Some stayed because their vocations called them to it, and gave cheerful, loyal service to the Church.
It's the losers who couldn't leave because of their psychological problems, the malcontents, the angry ones, who continued to molest children.
I guess the Church will now say that an 11-year-old is an adult, not a child.
    Disgusting.

    2. They're culturally untouchable. They don't work unless they want to. The system is completely sexist, and the nuns have to be self-supporting and also serve as household staff for the priests, who only have to worry about their internal politics in the diocesan heirarchy. Everybody wants to have a priest come over for dinner, attend your wedding or whatever, so they basically bribe them to come and eat for free in the hopes that they can get special dispensation when needed.

    3. Pedophiles have gravitated to the priesthood for years because of the first two points. It's understood that you will be placed on a pedestal, free to basically do what you want, and as long as you stay in good with the higher ups you have nothing to worry about. So if you're Catholic and you like little kids, you'd be stupid not to pursue that route. They've always been more or less unimpeachable, like a federal judge.

Bonus fact: A lot of Catholic lesbians go into the convent. There are many lifelong lesbian relationships among nuns. Again, this is the whole "skirt the rules" thing. They take a vow never to have sex WITH A MAN. They wear a silver wedding ring because they're married to Jesus. However, like many guys, the general perception is he's OK with his woman getting down with another woman as long as he can watch.

They Catholic Church may have lost MANY followers and a lot of money, but they have also gained more fundamentalist that believe their church can do no wrong, believing what a few of their rulers have come out and stated; child raped were asking for it, they enjoyed it, they wanted it

Sorry that my comment about nuns caused offense. It was more flippant than it needed to be. I do speak from personal knowledge regarding clergy from the parish I grew up in and my grandmother's parish. A nun doesn't have to explain why she's not married.

That said, MANY Catholic clergy lead lives of thankless service and devotion. Many nuns are raped, beaten and murdered because they help every desperate human that seeks them. I would take a bullet for Father Michael Pfleger, google him.

That's pretty stupid of you to bring up the jews, the catholics are the ones that got caught with their pants down. So because the Jews are doing it, you mean the catholic church should be legally aloud to do it. A pedophile that goes to catholic church should be set free, but the others should be punished heavily. Sounds like what you are saying.

Absolutely appalling. Priests should be in jail, as should the Pope and all of the Cardinals. Hopefully the younger generation today will make sure the Catholic Church dies out during the 21st Century.

If you honestly seek the Truth and feel Christian disgust for lies and propaganda, please google the following phrase "PHILIP JENKINS 1.7% 10%".
The question 'Where is the abomination of paedofilia more widespread – in the Church or in the protestant sects?' is answered in a cold scholarly manner (facts and figures only).
Once you read the statistics, search your conscience before God.
Let me only explain that Philip Jenkins is an Episcopalian Penn State historian.
