Blessed be the name of the Lord So this is a small section of Via Dolorosa the way of sorrow, this is in the Moslem quarter of the old city Jerusalem in Israel and The way of the Cross is supposed to recreate The way that Jesus took to the place of his crucifixion Carrying his cross and a lot of people come from all over the world To go through this route to experience when Jesus felt when he was walking to the cross And quite often they come and they walk in processions pilgrimages led by priests We will see one procession coming up from the left side just about now and it’s a Catholic Procession led by a Franciscan priest and as they show up from the left side of the screen from the right side We will hear some people yelling, making some noises as if trying to disrupt the procession and then some Italian women are Shouting piano piano be quiet. Somebody’s being very disrespectful And then later through the crowds two men come through and they bump into the Franciscan priest quite rudely So this is the reality in the Muslim Quarter where Moslems coexist with Catholics and Christians and Jews And I tell you thank God for the Israeli security forces which are always there and they keep peace They make everybody feel safe and actually be safe. You will see two of those security officers one of them is a police officer in the and the other one is a soldier in green unif.. coveralls and They usually walk in mixed teams like that and then they make sure everything is kosher excuse the pun. But these tensions on Via Dolorosa Probably add to the overall experience helping people feel like Jesus felt when he Experienced some hostility on the route and some mocking So let’s finish watching without any further interruptions. Via Dolorosa Jerusalem Well, we have to remember that this is a working quarter people actually Live and they work in the old city They have businesses that they run they need to sell they need to get deliveries. They need to deliver stuff so they are busy and all these tourists, you know, they descend on their area trying to Taste the biblical history and have a spiritual experience while these people have to work and It’s tight out there. It’s very crowded Pilate said to them shall I crucify your king? The chief priests answered. We have no king but Caesar So he delivered him over to them to be crucified So they took Jesus and he went out bearing his own cross to the place called the place of a skull Which in Aramaic is called Golgotha There they crucified Him and with him two others one on either side and Jesus between them Pilate also wrote an inscription and put it on the cross it read: Jesus of Nazareth the King of the Jews
